These Membership Terms & Policies govern your membership in the Artificial Intelligence Rotary Fellowship (AIRF). By becoming a member, you agree to adhere to these terms and uphold the values and standards of Rotary International.
Eligibility
Membership Requirements
- Must be an active or former member of Rotary International, Rotaract, or Interact
- Must have an interest in artificial intelligence, technology, or related fields
- Must commit to upholding Rotary's values and ethical standards
- Must provide accurate membership and contact information
Associate Members
In exceptional circumstances, AIRF may accept associate members who share our mission and values, subject to approval by the fellowship leadership. Associate members are expected to demonstrate commitment to Rotary principles and the fellowship's goals.
Membership Conduct
Expected Behavior
As an AIRF member, you are expected to:
- Conduct yourself with integrity, respect, and professionalism in all fellowship activities
- Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment for all members
- Participate actively in fellowship events, discussions, and service projects when possible
- Respect diverse perspectives and engage in constructive dialogue
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive fellowship information
- Represent AIRF and Rotary International positively in public settings
Code of Ethics
AIRF members must adhere to Rotary's Four-Way Test in all fellowship activities:
- Is it the TRUTH?
- Is it FAIR to all concerned?
- Will it build GOODWILL and better FRIENDSHIPS?
- Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?
Additionally, members must:
- Respect intellectual property rights and avoid plagiarism or unauthorized use of materials
- Use AI and technology responsibly, ethically, and in alignment with Rotary's service-above-self principles
- Avoid conflicts of interest that could compromise fellowship integrity
- Refrain from using fellowship membership for personal commercial gain
- Maintain transparency in fellowship-related business relationships
Membership Renewal
Renewal Process
- Memberships are available in 1-year, 2-year, 5-year, or lifetime tiers
- Renewal reminders are sent via email 30 days before expiration
- Members must maintain active Rotary or Rotaract status (if applicable) to renew
- Lifetime memberships do not require renewal but may be subject to periodic verification
Grace Period
A 30-day grace period is provided after membership expiration. During this time, members can renew without losing access. After the grace period, members must reapply for membership.
Membership Termination
Voluntary Termination
Members may cancel their membership at any time by contacting AIRF membership services. Voluntary cancellation does not entitle members to refunds for unused membership periods, except as specified in our Refund Policy.
Involuntary Termination
AIRF reserves the right to terminate membership immediately for:
- Violation of this Code of Ethics or Rotary International standards
- Engaging in harassment, discrimination, or abusive behavior toward other members
- Misuse of fellowship resources or intellectual property
- Conviction of criminal activity that reflects poorly on Rotary or AIRF
- Failure to pay membership fees after reasonable notice
- Providing false or misleading information during membership application
Members facing termination will receive written notice and, when appropriate, an opportunity to respond before final action is taken.
Use of AIRF Branding
Permitted Use
Members may use AIRF branding (logos, name, and marks) for:
- Personal professional profiles and social media (with proper attribution)
- Fellowship-related presentations, publications, and service projects
- Event announcements and networking activities related to AIRF
- Educational and service-oriented initiatives aligned with AIRF's mission
Prohibited Use
Members must NOT use AIRF branding for:
- Commercial products or services without explicit written permission
- Endorsements of third-party products or services
- Political campaigns or partisan activities
- Any activity that conflicts with Rotary International policies or ethical standards
- Misrepresenting personal views as official AIRF positions
Brand Guidelines
AIRF branding must be used in accordance with our brand guidelines, which are available upon request. Members must maintain the integrity of AIRF and Rotary International marks and may not modify or alter logos without permission.
Member Benefits & Access
Membership benefits include:
- Access to AIRF online resources, tools, and educational materials
- Participation in fellowship events, webinars, and networking opportunities
- Exclusive member directory and collaboration platforms
- Discounts on AI-related events, conferences, and training programs
- Opportunities to contribute to fellowship governance and service projects
Benefits are subject to change and may vary by membership tier. AIRF reserves the right to modify benefits with reasonable notice to members.
Dispute Resolution
Members agree to resolve disputes through direct communication and, when necessary, mediation in accordance with Rotary International conflict resolution principles. Formal complaints should be submitted in writing to the fellowship leadership.
